Cold plating is the plating of about 20-30 μm, while hot plating is generally 200 μm, so hot plating is more resistant to embroidery than cold plating. Cold plating is the process of surface passivation, so the surface is smoother, while the hot-plated surface is rougher. In general, hot-plated chicken cages work better than cold-plated chicken cages.
