How to find weak chicken in laying hens
Oct 18, 2019
So, how should the chicken farmers judge which chickens in the chicken cage are weak chickens and remove them in time?
1. Look at the cockscomb and the flesh. In normal laying hens, cockscombs and lobes tend to be large and ruddy; while oligo-powders tend to shrink to varying degrees, and chicken cocks tend to be pale, swollen or shrinking.
2. Look at the feathers of the chicken. Confusion of feathers is an important criterion for judging whether a chicken is normal or not. Normal laying hens are old and not unkempt, and only those who are sick can have feathers. The performance of the oligo-male chicken on the feathers is shedding and changing the feathers early.
3. Look at the pubic bones of the chicken. For normal laying hens, the distance between the pubic pubis and the pubic bone is 3.5 cm or more, and the distance between the pubic bone and the keel is generally more than 4.6 cm. It is difficult to have good egg production without laying eggs of this standard.
