The nutrition of water in chicken cage

Dec 17, 2018
The nutrition of chicken water in cages is often overlooked by farmers. However, the lack of water will soon leave a serious and irreversible harmful effect on chickens.Cutting off water causes chickens to die faster than lack of any other nutrient, leading to the fastest decline in production levels. Therefore, water is the most important nutrient for chickens.
(1) water distribution in chicken body: water exists in every cell of chicken body. The water content of eggs is about 65%, that of chicks just out of the shell is about 85%, and that of adult chickens is about 55%.As a result, water content in chickens ranges from 55 percent to 85 percent. The moisture inside chicken body is highest, and the moisture inside the body grows with day age with extremely fast rate drops, drop rate gradually later decelerate, till adult, moisture content inside body is opposite and stable.
The water in chicken mainly exists in intracellular fluid and extracellular fluid, and the water in extracellular fluid is contained in interstitial fluid and plasma respectively. In the total water content of chicken body, water in intracellular fluid accounts for 50%, water in interstitial fluid accounts for 5%, and water in plasma accounts for only about 5%.
(2) the role of water: water plays an extremely important role in chicken body metabolism. Most of the water in the body is combined with protein to form liquid, which makes the tissue and cell fluid take on a certain shape. Therefore, water is necessary t the normal shape of the body's organs.
Water is the solvent of nutrient substance, the absorption of nutrient substance, metabolism and waste excretion of chicken, as well as the transport of nutrient substance between tissues and organs in the body, must be dissolved in water to complete.Water is also involved in chemical processes in the body and ACTS as a mediator of chemical reactions during metabolism.Water has the characteristics of large heat capacity and high heat of evaporation. Therefore, water plays an important role in regulating and maintaining humoral balance. In addition, water ACTS as a lubricant to keep the articular surface of the bone lubricated and mobile.
(3) source of water: there are three ways for chickens to obtain water, namely drinking water, metabolic water and feed water.
Drinkable water: namely chicken drinks the moisture inside human body freely every day, occupy about 75% of total amount that take a person.
Metabolize water: call oxidation water again, it is to point to nutrient material oxidizes the water that produces inside.

Feed water: that is, the water taken by animals along with the feed. The feed water content of layer cage chickens varies greatly with the type of feed. The normal air-dried feed water content is between 8% and 15%.Under intensive feeding conditions, the water intake of chicken feed can meet about 6% of the total water and children requirements.
