Moulting period during laying hens

Farmers will encounter the moulting period of laying hens in the process of laying hens. It is a stage that every layer of hens have to go through. The layer of hens feed and grow normally but do not lay eggs. It will affect the economic benefits of farmers and increase costs, so many farmers choose forced molting to reduce waste costs.

I. Evaluation of chicken flocks: Before carrying out forced moulting, farmers should conduct an evaluation of their layers and flocks. The main points of the evaluation are as follows:

(1) Flocks with sub-health status;

(2) Flocks above 75% egg production rate;

(3) flocks with immune suppression problems;

(4) Flocks younger than 70 weeks of age; as long as the laying hens have the above conditions, they must be careful not to consider moulting;
