The optimal drinking water for chickens

Increase by age

1-6 week old chicks, 20-100 ml per chicken per day, 7-12 weeks old young chickens 100-200 ml per day per chicken; 200-230 ml per chicken per day for not laying hens; Egg-laying hens daily 230-300 ml per chicken per day.

The ratio of Feed intake

At normal temperature (20°C), The amount of water consumed by the chickens should be 2 times of the intake food; In high temperature (above 33°C) environment, The amount of water consumed by the chickens should be 5 times of the intake food.

Egg production rate

When the egg production rate is 50%, the water requirement for each layer is 170 ml per chicken per day; As the rate of egg production increases by 10%, the amount of drinking water increases by 12 ml.
